Ms. Hagglund shared the following quote from author Elizabeth Edwards, "Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it's less good than the one you had before. On behalf of the Board, Ms. Hagglund thanked the community for putting together something that is good.

Ms. Stanton shared details on convening a Reopening Schools Committee consisting of a diverse team of staff members, including union representation, who will review guidelines from the Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control, Labor and Industries, Snohomish and Island County health departments and others to recommend a reopening that will keep students, families and staff safe. Surveys will go out within the next few days to staff and parents to receive their input on the reopening of schools. The committee will provide a recommendation to the Board in early August and the Board will make a final decision at the August 18, 2020 board meeting.
