District announces new Director of Transportation
Posted on 10/04/2023

The Stanwood-Camano School District is proud to announce that Angie O’Connor will become the next Director of Transportation, effective October 18.

Angie has worked in the transportation field since 2010, first as a school bus driver here in this district than as a Transportation Specialist.

She has spent much of her career as an engaging communicator with a proven track record in team building, problem-solving, and leadership. She believes her skills and experience will support the school district now and into the future.

During the hiring process, district transportation staff provided input and feedback via surveys and meetings that helped guide the search. Angie replaces Kim Pedroza, who resigned last month.

The Transportation Department uses 50 buses traveling the 140 square miles in the Stanwood-Camano School District to safely transport about 3,500 students each day.

Angie knows our drivers, our system, and our community. Please join us in welcoming her into her new role as Director of Transportation.
