We work each day to deliver on our promise that every student is prepared for the future of their choice. We are proud to say that it includes one of the most robust and successful Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs in the state.
Our comprehensive CTE program offers students the chance to explore a variety of career options, supports academic and life skills, and enables achievement for industry-defined work. The end goal is for students to be well-prepared for high-wage, high-demand, and high-skill careers.
This year, there were more than 1,100 students from Stanwood High and Lincoln Hill High enrolled in our CTE classes. This means 215 graduating seniors have earned at least two credits in a single CTE Program of Study.
Many of those seniors graduating this week are prepared to jump right into the workforce on paths for high-paying, in-demand careers in the local area. Several also secured scholarships to further their education and skills at area community colleges and technical schools that they plan to balance with actively working in the field.
