COMMENTS BY CITIZENS 7:05 PM
The Board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of involving citizens in its meetings. To permit fair and orderly expression of such comment, the Board will provide a period at each regular meeting during which citizens may address the Board. Those wishing to speak should sign up in advance. The Board welcomes comments but, in general, will not act on them during the meeting.

CONSENT AGENDA 8:25 PM
All items on the Consent Agenda have been distributed to Board Members for study and are considered routine. The Consent Agenda may be enacted by one motion of the Board. If discussion of an individual item is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda by any Board Member and placed on the regular agenda for Board action. Audience members may speak to a consent agenda item after the item is identified and before the vote is taken.

The administration recommends that the Board of Directors approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

Approval of Stanwood High School (SHS) Field Trips: (a) Technology Student Association National ConferenceJune 27-July 3, 2009, Denver, Colorado; (b) Cheerleader Camp June 24-27, 2009, Tacoma, Washington; (c) Student Leadership Camp July 12-17, 2009, Randall, Washington; (d) History Club April 24-25, 2009, Auburn Washington; (e)Future Farmers of America (FFA) Judging April 23-25, 2009, Asotin, Washington; and (f) FFA Livestock May 5-6, 2009, Spokane, Washington. That the Board approves the Stanwood High School field trips (a-f) as described, dated April 21, 2009. (MO)

4. Approval of Running Start Program Agreement with Bellingham Technical College for 2008-09. That the Board approves the Running Start Program Agreement with Bellingham Technical College for 2008-09, dated April 21, 2009. (MO)

5. Approval of Northwest Educational Service District 189 (NWESD 189) Legal Services Cooperative Agreement for 2009-2010 . That the Board approves the NWESD 189 Legal Services Cooperative Agreement for 2009-2010 dated April 21, 2009. (GP)

Approval of Northwest Educational Service District 189 Interlocal Agreements for 2009-2010 Special Services: (a)Deaf/Hard of Hearing Cooperative; (b) Skagit Discovery Cooperative; (c) Northwest Regional Learning Center.
