CALL TO ORDER
Board President Schreiber called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Director Foster moved to approve the agenda for the December 5, 2023 Study Session; seconded by Director Evans.

Passed: Unanimously

TOPICS SCHEDULED FOR SCHOOL BOARD DISCUSSION

1. Discussion of the Open Public Meetings Act, Public Records, and School Common Law by Guest Speaker, Valerie Hughes, Of Counsel, Perkins Coie LLP, Seattle, WA
Valerie Hughes with Perkins Coie LLP led a discussion about the Open Public Meetings Act, Public Records Act, and School Common Law. Ms. Hughes shared that certificates of completion will be provided for Board Directors. Discussion followed which included information regarding collective bargaining. A brief recess was taken.

2. Review of Annual Goals and Objectives, Board Self Evaluation, and Training and Development
Board President Schreiber and the Board discussed board goals and self evaluation.  Discussion included giving the new board directors an opportunity to get settled in before further discussion occurred. 

3. Review of the Board of Directors Operating Protocol
The Board signed the Board of Directors Operating Protocol.
