Meet the Board

Al-Schreiber

District 1

Albert Schreiber (Term Expires 2025)

Al Schreiber was re-elected to the Board in November 2021. He received his BS in Business Administration from Trine University in 1972 and his Masters from Willamette University's Atkinson Graduate School of Management in 1977. He is retired after 36 years in law enforcement. As a Senior Special Agent his duties included adult education/training and his last 9 years were spent at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and assignments to the International Law Enforcement Academy. For the past 19 years he served as an instructor teaching leadership around the world. Al lives in the Warm Beach area with his wife, JoAnne (a teacher/administrator), and their triplets.

 

Charlotte Murry

District 2

Charlotte Murry (Term Expires 2025

Charlotte Murry was re-elected to the Board in November 2021. She is a 22-year resident of Camano Island and life long Washington resident. Charlotte currently works as an Executive Administrator for the Snohomish & Island County Labor Council. She has been a very active volunteer in the community while raising her three children in the school district.

 

Miranda Evans

District 3

Miranda Evans (Term Expires 2027)

Miranda Evans was elected to the Board in November 2019. A graduate of Stanwood High School, Miranda received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Gonzaga University. She works for a large auto insurer as a Property Damage Specialist, while also helping her husband with their local real estate company. Currently, she lives on Camano Island with her husband, Jerry, and their two girls who attend school in the district.

 

Betsy Foster

District 4

Betsy Foster (Term Expires 2027)

Betsy Foster was sworn in on December 5, 2023, to serve as District 4 Director. Betsy has served on the Skagit Valley College Board of Directors and worked for 40 years in outside sales, including real estate. She graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in psychology. Betsy lives in Stanwood.

 

 

Steve King

District 5 (At-Large)

Steve King was sworn in on December 5, 2023, to serve as District 5 Director At Large. Steve was an instructor, professor, and program/department head (pilot training) at Long Beach City College for 37 years. Steve also served as LBCC Academic Standards, Curriculum, and AS Degree Committee Member; board member and president of the California Aerospace Education Association; board member of the University Aviation Association (the national professional organization for non-engineering college and university aviation programs), an aviation maintenance technician; and a railroad brakeman. Steve holds a degree in Social Sciences (Anthropology emphasis), and he has had eight years of vocational training and college including Aviation (AMT), Electronic, and Automotive technologies.
