Elementary Schools
For the 2026-27 school year, the Stanwood-Camano School District will be returning to a more traditional school supply model for elementary students.
During the 2025-26 school year, many elementary classroom supplies were provided thanks to the generosity of the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation and local donors who supported a community fundraising effort last year. Their support helped reduce costs for families and ensured classrooms had the supplies students needed throughout the year.
Due to ongoing budget challenges and rising costs, families will be asked to provide some basic school supplies beginning this fall.
To help simplify the process for families and create a more equitable experience across schools, the district will utilize a universal elementary supply list for all elementary schools. Around the start of school in the fall, individual teachers may still request additional classroom-specific items, but the core supply list will remain consistent districtwide.
The elementary supply list will include:
- Glue sticks
- #2 Ticonderoga pencils with erasers (12 pack)
- Crayola washable broad-tip markers
- Crayola crayons, 24 pack (grades K-2)
- Sharpened colored pencils (grades 3-5)
- Headphones
- Whiteboard markers
- Pocket folders
- Composition notebooks (wide ruled)
The district will continue providing some classroom items and supplies, such as erasers, highlighters, scissors, and rulers.
Families and students who may need assistance obtaining school supplies are encouraged to contact their school counselor. Our schools will continue working with community partners and local resources to help support students and families in need.
