Attendance
Some of our students miss 10% of the school year — about 18 days a year or just two days every month. Others miss even more days.
Reducing the number of days students are absent is a key component of improving graduation rates, increasing academic achievement, and giving students the best chance at success in the workplace. We want all of these things for our students!
Find tips you can use on our Attendance webpage.
Bus routes
Parents are able to access individual student transportation information on-line! Versatran eLink is the portal to access bus route, stop time, location, and the bus your child will be riding. At the login page the "User Name" and "Password" is your students 7-digit identification number.
REMINDER: All students need to be at the bus stop 5 minutes prior to their stop time.
Kindergarten Parents: To assure your child's safety, please arrive at the bus stop in the morning and after school 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time for pick-up and drop-off. Parents or guardians MUST meet the bus in the afternoon or your child will be returned to the school or transportation center.
For more information, please call the Transportation Center at 360-629-1229.
Community E-Fliers
Stanwood-Camano School District allows community organizations and groups to submit informational fliers about clubs, sports, events, classes, and more for distribution into schools and online at our Community e-Fliers webpage.
To learn more about submitting a flier or to view the currently available e-Fliers, visit our Community e-Fliers webpage.
Education Ombuds
The Governor’s Office of the Education Ombuds (OEO) is an independent state agency that helps to reduce educational opportunity gaps by supporting families, students, educators, and other stakeholders in communities across Washington by sharing information about the K-12 public school system and resolving concerns collaboratively. OEO services are free and confidential. Anyone can contact OEO with a question or concern about school.
OEO listens, shares information and referrals, and works informally with families, communities, and schools to address concerns so that every student can fully participate and thrive in our state’s public schools. OEO provides support in multiple languages and has telephone interpretation available. To get help or learn more about what OEO does, please visit OEO's website; email oeoinfo@gov.wa.gov, or call: 1-866-297-2597 (interpretation available).

You have the right to receive information about your child’s schooling in a language you understand. Please let the school know if you need documents translated or an interpreter provided, at no cost to you.

We acknowledge that students in care can be highly mobile which can create gaps in education and school connection.

Health Services — School Nurses
Stanwood-Camano School District is committed to the health and wellness of our students. Each school has a registered nurse available to provide a range of services.
School nurses routinely collect student health information to plan for needs during the school day. School nurses develop Emergency Care plans for students with diabetes, seizures and life threatening allergies.
They also develop individual health plans for other health conditions and medically fragile students. We also implement the state mandated hearing and vision screening and work closely with local health departments regarding communicable diseases and immunization compliance at school.
This section of our website contains the information needed to meet your students health needs at school. If you have questions please contact your specific schools nurse
Homeschooling
Learn more about our Parent-Partnership Program and homeschool options on our Homeschool page.
McKinney-Vento Act
Help For Unstably Housed Students and Families
The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act of 1987 provides support for homeless children and youth to continue their education without interruption or barriers. The definition for McKinney-Vento identification is far more inclusive than what most people think when they think of “homeless.”
For more information and resources, please visit our McKinney-Vento Act webpage.
New Student Registration
Please find all of our forms for New Student registration, Kindergarten registration, Lincoln Academy registration, Lincoln Hill High registration, and other registration information on our New Student registration webpage.
Online Payments
The Stanwood-Camano School District is implementing a new online payments portal called TouchBase. See our links below.
With this system, families can shop for items at their student's middle and high schools and pay fines/fees using credit or debit cards. A small transaction fee of $1.50 will be applied to your overall purchase. TouchBase is a secure site. This system will not be used for food service credit card payments. Families will continue to utilize Revtrak for online food service payments.
Access the new TouchBase online portal at the links below. Create a unique online payment password, then log in by using your Skyward Family Access username, and your new password.
If you do not have a Family Access login or need your login, please contact your child's school.
It may take up to 24 hours after creating or updating your Skyward account before being able to log in.
We are excited to offer you a more robust online payment system! As a reminder, schools will also continue to accept cash and check payments onsite.

Safety & Wellness
Our highly-trained safety and security staff monitor, protect and respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our paramount duty is to create a safe learning environment where each child can thrive.
Safety and security staff support and assist in the training of all district staff to be prepared to respond to natural- or human-caused emergencies. We work with communications and school staff to inform families about emergencies as soon as we can with as much information as possible.
We are committed to creating a safe environment in every school. Our safety and security staff are proactive and help keep our district’s promise that every student is empowered to learn in an inclusive setting and is prepared for the future of their choice.

Skyward Family Access
Family Access is a web-based tool designed to enhance parent/guardian and school communication. Your use of the Family Access website is voluntary.
How do I log on to Family Access?
Click on the link below and then log on with your username and password to Family Access.
Student and Family Access website
How do I sign up for Family Access? What if I can't log on?
If you need to sign up for Family Access or if you forgot your user name or password, call (360) 629-1319 for help from 7:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. or email gherigstad@stanwood.wednet.edu.
Does Family Access cost money or is there a fee that I have to pay?
Family Access is provided free as a service of the Stanwood-Camano School District.
I can't get Family Access to work on my computer; what should I do?
Family Access is a web-based product, so it should work on your computer like any other web-based application, such as Internet Explorer. First, you should check to make sure you have the right Family Access web site address or URL. You can access the Family Access web portal from the link above or from each school's website.
Can other people see my child's personal information on Family Access?
Family Access is password protected. As long as you keep your password safe it is highly unlikely that anyone else will be able to view your child's personal information.
When I log on to Family Access, I lose my connection after three to five minutes. Why?
Family Access has a default security setting that will terminate your connection if your computer is idle for longer than three to five minutes. This feature is designed to protect against unauthorized access and can not be changed.
With all of the talk about Internet safety and security, how do I know Family Access is safe?
Family Access uses Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encryption as the security layer for data presented on the Web. This is the same encryption system used by sites that accept credit card numbers and other personal data that must be secure. Each individual, whether student, parent, or staff member, must be given a user name and password and be designated as a member of a household linked to a student in order to view Family Access information.
Can I get my high school student's transcript through Family Access?
Unfortunately, transcripts are not available through Family Access. They may be requested, however, from the high school registrar. Transcript records are retained for 100 years as per state law.
