English Language Learners

Learning Support Programs
TITLE 1, PART A
Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to states and school districts to meet the educational needs of students at-risk of failing the state's challenging performance standards in mathematics, reading, and writing.
Title I, Part A provides additional instructional services and activities which support students identified as failing or most at risk of failing. To read more, click on the following links:

LEARNING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LAP)
The Learning Assistance Program (LAP) is Washington's state-funded program (WAC 392-162 and Chapter 28A.165 RCW ) that provides additional academic support to eligible students. Eligible students are those achieving below grade level on the state's assessment. District assessment of basic skills may also be considered for eligibility.

Transitional Kindergarten
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is aimed at helping children who haven't accessed pre-school prepare for kindergarten.
TK is a free, full-day early entrance kindergarten program for children who will be 4 years old by the start of school each fall.
Students are eligible for the program if they have not had prior access to early learning experiences and/or have been identified through a screening process as being in need of additional preparation based on academic or social-emotional deficits to be successful in kindergarten in the following year.

WAGAP
We are proud to be partnering with the Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program (WAGAP) to offer students who are choosing college as their next step an incredible opportunity.
WAGAP can guarantee students admission to six four-year public universities in the state if they meet these two criteria:

Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

Complete or are on track to complete by fall 2024 all the College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs)
