COMMENTS BY CITIZENS 12:05 PM
The Board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of involving citizens in its meetings. To permit fair and orderly expression of such comment, the Board will provide a period at each regular meeting during which citizens may address the Board. Those wishing to speak should sign up in advance. The Board welcomes comments but, in general, will not act on them during the meeting.

All items on the Consent Agenda have been distributed to Board Members for study and are considered routine. The Consent Agenda may be enacted by one motion of the Board. If discussion of an individual item is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda by any Board Member and placed on the regular agenda for Board action. Audience members may speak to a consent agenda item after the item is identified and before the vote is taken.

The administration recommends that the Board of Directors approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

b. Track Team State Tournament, May 26-28, 2011, Tacoma, Washington.
c. Girls Tennis State Tournament, May 26-28, 2011, Vancouver, Washington.
d. Cheerleading Camp, June 22-25, 2011, Tacoma, Washington.
e. Leadership Camp, July 12-17, 2011, Randle, Washington.

4. Approval of Resolution No. 2010-11/007, Puget Sound Joint Purchasing Cooperative Interlocal Agreement for Food Purchasing. That the Board approves Resolution No. 2010-11/007, Puget Sound Joint Purchasing Cooperative Interlocal Agreement for Food Purchasing, dated June 7, 2011. (GP)

6. Approval of Northwest Educational Service District 189 (NWESD 189) Data Processing Services with Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC) and the Washington School Information Processing Cooperative (WSIPC) for FY 2011-12. That the Board approves the NWESD 189 data processing services with NWRDC and WSIPC for 2011-12, dated June 7, 2011. 8. Approval of the Literacy Adoption for:
a) Journey's Program by Houghton Mifflin, 2011 for Grades K-5,
b) Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, Multicultural Literature for Grades 11-12.

That the Board approves the Literacy Adoption of Journey's Program for grades K-5 and Kite Runner for grades 11-12, dated June 7, 2011.

9. Approval of Personnel Consent Agenda. That the Board approves the Personnel Consent Agenda, dated June 7, 2011, including certificated/classified new hires, resignations, leave requests, retirements, and travel. (LL)
