COMMENTS BY CITIZENS 12:05 PM
The Board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of involving citizens in its meetings. To permit fair and orderly expression of such comment, the Board will provide a period at each regular meeting during which citizens may address the Board. Those wishing to speak should sign up in advance. The Board welcomes comments but, in general, will not act on them during the meeting.

CONSENT AGENDA 1:05 PM
All items on the Consent Agenda have been distributed to Board Members for study and are considered routine. The Consent Agenda may be enacted by one motion of the Board. If discussion of an individual item is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda by any Board Member and placed on the regular agenda for Board action. Audience members may speak to a consent agenda item after the item is identified and before the vote is taken.

The administration recommends that the Board of Directors approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

c. FFA Officers Leadership Retreat , June 20-21, 2012, Camp Casey, Whidbey Island, Washington.
d. Freshman Football Team Camp, July 10-14, 2012, Fort Casey, Whidbey Island, Washington;
e. Football Team Camp , June 23-26, 2012, Central Washington University, Ellensburg, Washington;
That the Board approves the Stanwood High School Field Trips, as listed (a-e), dated June 19, 2012. (LS)

3. Approval of Highly Capable Program Plan and Grant for 2012-13. That the Board approves the Highly Capable Program Plan and Grant for 2012-13, dated June 19, 2012. (LS)

4. Approval of Biology Adoption: Miller and Levine Biology, Pearson Publishing 2011 for Grade 10 and Novel Adoption: Neuromancer, William Gibson, 1984, for Grades 11-12, College Prep Virtual Reality Class, and The Girl Who Owned a City, O.T. Nelson, 1975, for Grade 8. That the Board approves the Adoption for biology text and materials, Miller and Levine Biology, Pearson Publishing, 2011, and novels, Neuromancer, William Gibson, 1984, and The Girl Who Owned a City, O.T. 7. Approval to Purchase One 27-Passenger Bus and One 18-Passenger Bus . That the Board approves the Purchase of One 27-Passenger Bus and One 18-Passenger Bus, dated June 19, 2012. (GP)

8. Approval of Personnel Consent Agenda. That the Board approves the Personnel Consent Agenda, dated June 19, 2012, including certificated/classified new hires, resignations, leave requests, retirements, and travel. (LL)
