How School Works Here
School Hours
Elementary schools generally operate from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with a Wednesday late start at 10:20 a.m.
Secondary schools generally operate from 7:40 a.m.-2:10 p.m., with a Wednesday late start at 9 a.m.
Attendance
Regular attendance matters. Reducing student absences is an important part of improving academic achievement and graduation rates.
Transportation
More than 50 buses serve students throughout our 140-square-mile district, typically transporting about 3,300 students to and/or from school each day.
Meals
Breakfast and lunch are served daily. Families can view menus online, use InTouch for payments, and learn about eligibility for free meals.
Health
School nurses support a variety of student health needs throughout the district.
Safety
Our School Resource Officer helps lead our partnership with local first responders as we work together to monitor, protect and respond throughout the year.
Athletics
Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate in school sports, including 22 teams at the high school level. Go Spartans!
Academics
Our students consistently meet or exceed state test averages in key areas. Families can explore district achievement data and our Strategic Plan online.
