When do buildings open?

Building doors typically open to students 15 minutes prior to the start of school.

2-hour late start due to weather?

During 2-hour late start for weather events, please add 2 hours to bus pick-up times and the scheduled school start times listed below.

Elementary (K-5)

Regular schedule: 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Wednesday late start: 10:20 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Early-release schedule: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Last day of school: 9-11 a.m.

Middle & High (6-12)

Regular schedule: 7:40 a.m.-2:10 p.m.

Wednesday late start: 9 a.m.-2:10 p.m.

Early-release schedule: 7:40-10:40 a.m.

Last day of school: 7:40-9:40 a.m.

Late-start Wednesdays

Stanwood-Camano School District schools begin 80 minutes later than the regular start time each Wednesday morning. Please also be at your bus stop 80 minutes later than the normal pick-up time.

The late start allows school staff members to work on their School Improvement Plan and participate in professional development to support student learning. 

Students should not arrive or be dropped off at school earlier than 25 minutes prior to the start of school on Wednesday mornings because there is no supervision available.
