shining lhhs lora rev.jpgshining la nate rev.jpgNate Lindberry and Lora Schmidt were recognized by the Board of Directors at the March 19 board meeting with the "Shining Star Award." 

Nate is a student at Lincoln Academy.  His teachers Mr. Chistensen and Ms. Linda Miller, described Nate as an excellent leader, intelligent, with a sense of humor and one who encourages his peers.  Principal Maurene Stanton said he had strong work ethics and he treats his classmates with respect.

Lora is a 12th grade student at Lincoln Hill High School. Principal Stanton, Elise Nowak, student advisor, and teacher Ms. Casey Kelly recognized Lora for having high integrity, being positive in the classroom, is cooperative and strives to meet her goals.

The Shining Star Award acknowledges students from elementary through high school that demonstrates positive accomplishments, works hard, has overcome obstacles and works toward their educational goals.

The Board of Directors awarded the Shining Star achievement certificates to Lora and Nate and Superintendent Jean Shumate presented their pictures, which will be displayed at their school.
